Seoul: Friday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange closed with varied results for the KOSPI 200 stocks. Some companies experienced increases in their stock prices, while others saw declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hyundai M and F INS recorded a drop of 100 KRW, closing at 29,900 KRW. Meanwhile, Taihan Cable and Solution's stock price rose by 550 KRW, reaching 29,200 KRW. Daesang also saw an increase, closing at 19,650 KRW, up by 270 KRW. KCC experienced a significant rise of 1,500 KRW, closing at 464,000 KRW.
POSCO Holdings and Hyundai Mtr were among the top gainers, with increases of 6,500 KRW and 5,500 KRW, closing at 347,500 KRW and 471,000 KRW respectively. On the other hand, AMOREPACIFIC Holdings saw a decrease of 400 KRW, closing at 27,250 KRW. LotteChilsung recorded a gain of 900 KRW, ending at 113,500 KRW.
In the pharmaceutical sector, HANALL BIOPHARMA experienced a significant drop of 7,350 KRW, closing at 47,050 KRW. Samsung F and M Ins also saw a decline of 2,500 KRW, finishing at 441,500 KRW. Kogas, however, posted a rise of 300 KRW, closing at 34,650 KRW.
The automotive sector had mixed results as well, with KIA CORP. declining by 400 KRW to 150,200 KRW, while Hyundai Steel increased by 800 KRW, closing at 34,250 KRW. The chemical sector showed gains, with LOTTE Fine Chem and MiwonComcl closing at 47,150 KRW and 134,400 KRW respectively, both up by 400 KRW and 3,300 KRW.
SeAH Steel Holdings and POSCO INTERNATIONAL also ended higher, with increases of 26,000 KRW and 5,600 KRW, closing at 253,000 KRW and 85,100 KRW respectively. Conversely, ORION Holdings decreased by 950 KRW, closing at 23,100 KRW.
In other sectors, SK hynix reported a substantial gain of 46,000 KRW, ending at 876,000 KRW. LIG Nex1 saw the most significant increase of 76,000 KRW, closing at 860,000 KRW. However, Korea Aerospace experienced a decline of 1,600 KRW, finishing at 182,600 KRW.
