Seoul: Meritz Financial Group Inc. on Wednesday reported its second-quarter net profit of 791.4 billion won (US$558.6 million), up 7.3 percent from a year earlier.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company stated in a regulatory filing that operating income for the April-June period rose 1.9 percent year-on-year to 967.6 billion won. Sales saw a significant increase of 106 percent, reaching 19.26 trillion won.
