Seoul: Thursday's trading session on the Korea Stock Exchange witnessed significant movements in the KOSPI 200 index, with a number of stocks experiencing notable gains and declines. SK hynix emerged as a prominent gainer with its shares rising by 89,000 KRW to close at 1,593,000 KRW.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also saw substantial increases in their stock prices. HANALL BIOPHARMA's shares climbed by 4,700 KRW, closing at 60,400 KRW, while KIA CORP. recorded a rise of 1,800 KRW, ending the day at 137,400 KRW. Korea Zinc and TaekwangInd also saw upward trends, with increases of 18,000 KRW and 26,000 KRW respectively.
In contrast, several stocks faced declines. SamsungFandMIns dropped by 17,000 KRW, closing at 611,000 KRW. Kogas and HyundaiEngandConst also fell, with their prices decreasing by 750 KRW and 100 KRW respectively. POSCO INTERNATIONAL and CJ CheilJedang experienced notable declines, with their shares falling by 1,500 KRW and 4,400 KRW.
Overall, the trading session reflected mixed outcomes, with gains in stocks such as HyundaiMtr, which rose by 9,000 KRW, and Korea Aerospace, which increased by 7,100 KRW, balancing the market despite the declines in other sectors.
