Seoul: Lotte Chilsung Beverage Co. on Thursday reported its third-quarter net profit of 62 billion won (US$42.9 million), marking an increase of 39.3 percent from the previous year. The company's latest financial performance was shared through a regulatory filing, revealing that its operating profit for the quarter reached 91.8 billion won, compared to 78.7 billion won in the same period last year. Additionally, sales saw a 1.3 percent rise, totaling 1.07 trillion won.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the earnings surpassed market expectations, with analysts predicting an average net profit of 54.4 billion won, based on a survey conducted by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
