Seoul: Lotte Chilsung Beverage Co., a unit of South Korea's retail giant Lotte Group, announced a net profit of 28.2 billion won (US$19.8 million) for the second quarter, marking a 1.8 percent increase from the previous year.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the company disclosed in a regulatory filing that its operating profit for the April to June period experienced a decline of 10.6 percent year-on-year, amounting to 55.8 billion won. However, sales during the same period saw a 2.4 percent increase, reaching 1.11 trillion won.
