London: The artificial intelligence (AI) lab under LG Group launched an advanced financial agent last week in partnership with the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG), capable of generating high-quality financial reports without human intervention, the research center said Sunday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, LG AI Research and the LSEG held a kick-off ceremony in London on Friday (local time) for EXAONE Business Intelligence (EXAONE-BI), which is capable of integrating and processing massive amounts of data to make market forecasts. The newly launched AI agent aims to address the increasing demand for advanced financial data and analytics, a necessity driven by market volatility and the necessity for data-driven decision making.

"While other financial AI services exist, they have often been limited by lower accuracy or served as auxiliary tools for summarization," LG AI Research highlighted in a release. The EXAONE-BI, developed in collaboration with LSEG, is designed to overcome these limitations. It consists of four AI agents, each designated as journalist, economist, analyst, and decision maker, working together to produce comprehensive analysis.

The collaboration between LG AI Research and the LSEG is anticipated to set a significant milestone, showcasing South Korea's AI competitiveness in the global market. The research center emphasized that the launch of EXAONE-BI marks a pivotal development in the realm of AI-driven financial services.
