Seoul: LG Energy Solution Ltd. on Thursday reported its 2025 net income of 80.8 billion won (US$56.6 million), down 76.1 percent from a year earlier. The report highlights a significant decrease in net income for the company over the past year. According to Yonhap News Agency, the company stated in a regulatory filing that despite the fall in net income, its operating profit for the year rose 133.9 percent on-year to 1.34 trillion won. This increase in operating profit indicates that the company has managed to improve its core business operations. The filing also revealed that annual revenue decreased 7.6 percent to 23.67 trillion won. The reduction in revenue contrasts with the rise in operating profit, suggesting potential shifts in the company's financial strategy or market conditions impacting overall sales.
