LG Electronics wins certificate for safety
SEOUL-- LG Electronics Inc. said Friday it has won a certificate from a German inspector for its capability to analyze and sort out hazardous materials from its products.
TUV Rheinland designated LG Electronics as a certified testing laboratory for its capabilities on carrying out tests that can accurately analyze sterilization substances hazardous for people.
LG Electronics is capable of sorting out some 13 hazardous materials, including Octylisothiazolinone, it added.
The company said the latest accreditation proves that LG is capable of providing safer products to consumers.
"The certification proves LG Electronics holds a world-class capability to analyze materials hazardous to people," the company said. "We will continue efforts for the health and safety of consumers."
