Seoul: LG Electronics Inc. has topped the global market for organic light-emitting diode (OLED) TVs for 13 consecutive years through 2025, data showed Wednesday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the South Korean tech giant accounted for 49.7 percent of the global OLED TV market in 2025 amid strong demand for premium TVs. LG Electronics took up 50.5 percent of the European OLED TV market last year, accounting for 1.59 million units out of the 3.14 million sold in the region.
Industry watchers said LG Electronics' strong presence in the European market came as local customers opted for high-resolution TVs to enjoy sports events, including the Premier League. LG Electronics held 50.1 percent of the North American OLED market, along with 62.3 percent in the Asia-Oceania region, the data showed.
