LG Display to normalize accident-stricken production line next week
SEOUL-- LG Display Co. said Saturday it is seeking to restart its LCD production line north of Seoul next week, which had to suspend operations due to a fatal accident.
The Paju facility was forced to halt operations last month after a worker died while inspecting a production line.
"The funeral of the victim was completed as of Thursday, and the labor ministry's investigation is also finished," a company representative said.
LG Display said it is currently taking steps to maintain a normal supply of panels to its business partners.
"Although it is inevitable to face hurdles in production due to a week of suspension, we will make an effort to minimize fallout," the company said.
