Seoul: LG CNS Co., an information technology affiliate of South Korea's LG Electronics Inc., announced plans to establish a research and development (R and D) center in Silicon Valley in the United States.
According to Yonhap News Agency, an official from LG CNS stated that the new center will concentrate on developing next-generation core technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI) and a robot foundation model. This initiative marks LG Group's second R and D center in Silicon Valley, following the establishment of a similar center by LG Electronics.
LG CNS has been actively expanding its AI capabilities through strategic partnerships with global tech companies, including Canada's Cohere Inc.
