Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung's approval rating has dropped to its lowest since his inauguration, as revealed by a recent poll on Thursday. According to Yonhap News Agency, a National Barometer Survey (NBS) conducted from Monday to Wednesday indicated that 53 percent of respondents positively assessed President Lee's performance, marking a decrease of 2 percentage points from a similar poll conducted two weeks prior.

The poll results also showed an increase in disapproval ratings, which rose by 3 percentage points to 37 percent. The NBS pollster noted that this figure represents the lowest approval rating for President Lee in an NBS poll since the second week of June 2025, shortly after he took office.

In terms of real estate policies, the survey highlighted public dissatisfaction, with 56 percent of respondents believing the current administration is performing poorly in this area, while 33 percent provided positive feedback. Additionally, the poll reflected a shift in political party support; the ruling Democratic Party (DP) saw a 2 percentage point increase to 40 percent, whereas the main opposition People Power Party (PPP) experienced a decline, losing 1 percentage point to 21 percent. Across all age groups, the DP received more positive assessments than the PPP.

The survey, which included 1,000 individuals aged 18 and older, was conducted by Embrain Public, Kstat Research, Korea Research, and Hankook Research. The poll's margin of error is plus or minus 3.1 percentage points at a 95 percent confidence level.
