Lee Vows Unity and Service in Lunar New Year Message

Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung announced his ongoing dedication to national unity and public service in a message marking the Lunar New Year, as he enters his second year in office. According to Yonhap News Agency, President Lee, dressed in traditional hanbok alongside first lady Kim Hea Kyung, addressed the nation with a video message expressing his commitment to being a "president for all." He took office in June of the previous year, following a period of political instability after former President Yoon Suk Yeol's failed attempt at martial law and subsequent impeachment in December 2024. Lee extended his gratitude to the citizens for their collective efforts in overcoming the crisis during the past year, noting the country's swift return to normalcy. He thanked the people for their role in safeguarding the nation across various facets of daily life. Reaffirming his commitment to national unity, Lee emphasized the shared hope for a better future for the next generation, despite differing viewpoints. He encouraged continued solidarity and trust, expressing optimism for societal advancement in the year ahead.
