Lima: President Lee Jae Myung will dispatch a presidential delegation to the inauguration of Peru's President-elect Keiko Fujimori, the South Korean president's office announced Friday. Fujimori is set to take office at a ceremony in Lima on Tuesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the delegation will be led by Rep. Min Hong-chul of the ruling Democratic Party, who is the head of the South Korea-Peru parliamentary friendship association. The delegation will also include Rep. Kang Min-kuk of the main opposition People Power Party and another ruling party lawmaker, Lee Ki-heon, as confirmed by presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung.

The delegation has been tasked with delivering President Lee's personal letter to Fujimori. The letter outlines his vision for developing strategic relations between South Korea and the new Peruvian government and explains the Lee administration's foreign policy ambitions.

Additionally, the delegation will attend a reception hosted by Fujimori and Peru's foreign minister. During this event, the South Korean lawmakers plan to convey Seoul's intention to enhance defense and security cooperation with Peru.
