Lee to Deliver Address at U.N. General Assembly on Sept. 23

New york: President Lee Jae Myung will attend the U.N. General Assembly later this month, marking his first appearance at the esteemed global forum since assuming office in June. The presidential office confirmed this development on Tuesday.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee is set to deliver an address at the 80th session of the General Assembly at the U.N. headquarters in New York on September 23. Presidential spokesperson Kang Yu-jung informed reporters about the scheduled address, highlighting its significance.

"The Republic of Korea will share with the international community its experience of overcoming and recovering from a crisis of democracy, while presenting the government's vision and policies on key global issues, including the Korean Peninsula," Kang stated, emphasizing South Korea's commitment to contributing to international discourse.
