Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung on Tuesday received diplomatic credentials from seven new ambassadors to South Korea, the presidential office said.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the ambassadors include Cecep Herawan of Indonesia, Julio Herraiz Espana of Spain, Toufiq Islam Shatil of Bangladesh, Sianga Kivuila Samuel Abilio of Angola, Lyes Nait-Tighilt of Algeria, Syed Moazzam Hussain Shah of Pakistan, and Angie Shakira Martinez Tejera of the Dominican Republic.
New ambassadors typically present copies of their credentials to the head of state to formally assume their roles. This ceremony marks the official beginning of their diplomatic duties and responsibilities in South Korea.
