Lee Engages With Democratic Party Leadership to Address National Concerns

Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung held a dinner meeting with the leadership of the ruling Democratic Party (DP) on Monday to discuss pressing political and other issues, the party announced. The meeting, aimed at aligning strategies and addressing current challenges, took place at Cheong Wa Dae and lasted approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the dinner was attended by DP leader Jung Chung-rae and floor leader Han Byung-do. DP spokesperson Park Soo-hyun provided a written briefing, highlighting that President Lee expressed a desire to understand public sentiment and other issues that might not be fully on his radar. He emphasized the importance of receiving insights from those who are directly engaging with the public.

The discussions covered a range of topics, including responses to the swiftly changing international political landscape and the burgeoning influence of South Korea's K-culture. These discussions reflect the DP's commitment to addressing both domestic and international challenges effectively.

Participants of the meeting also committed to supporting President Lee in the upcoming year with the goals of fostering national unity and promoting economic growth. This pledge underscores the DP's dedication to working closely with the president to achieve these objectives.
