Lee Commemorates 50 Years of S. Korea-Singapore Diplomatic Relations on Social Media

Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung said Friday he and his Singaporean counterpart exchanged congratulations on the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between their nations and expressed hope for stronger ties.

According to Yonhap News Agency, President Lee stated, "I exchanged congratulatory letters with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam of Singapore and celebrated the remarkable progress our two countries have made since establishing diplomatic ties in 1975," in a post on X, formerly Twitter.

He further expressed his optimism for the future, saying, "With the elevation of bilateral relations this year, I look forward to further strengthening our bonds of friendship and cooperation, and to embarking on a new journey over the next century."
