Seoul: President Lee Jae Myung emphasized the necessity for equal respect of management and labor rights as Samsung Electronics Co. and its unionized workers approached critical negotiations. These discussions aim to avert an impending 18-day strike scheduled to commence on Thursday.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Lee expressed his views via a post on his X account, underscoring the importance of a balanced approach in South Korea's democratic and free market economy. He stated, "In South Korea, which has adopted the basic orders of democracy and free market economy, labor should be respected as much as companies, and corporate management rights should also be respected as much as labor rights."
