Seoul: Krafton Inc., South Korean gaming giant known for its smash-hit title PUBG: Battlegrounds, on Tuesday reported its third-quarter net income of 369.4 billion won (US$256.8 million), up 204.3 percent from a year earlier.
According to Yonhap News Agency, the company said in a regulatory filing that it posted 348.6 billion won in operating profit for the quarter, compared with 324.4 billion won a year ago. Revenue rose 21 percent to 870.6 billion won.
The earnings beat market expectations. The average estimate of net profit by analysts stood at 303.2 billion won, according to a survey by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data firm of Yonhap News Agency.
