‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Soundtrack Holds No. 2 Spot on Billboard Albums Chart

Los angeles: The soundtrack for Netflix's animated film "Kpop Demon Hunters" has maintained its position at No. 2 on Billboard's main albums chart for the 19th consecutive week. This accomplishment highlights the continued popularity of the music accompanying the hit film.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the album ranked just behind global pop star Taylor Swift's latest studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl," on the Billboard 200. This marks the fourth week in a row that it has held the second spot behind Swift. Prior to this, the soundtrack had twice claimed the No. 1 position before being overtaken by Swift's release.

The Billboard 200 is a chart that ranks the most popular albums of the week in the United States, based on equivalent album units. These units are a combination of physical sales, track-equivalent units, and streaming-equivalent units. In the most recent tracking week, the "KPop Demon Hunters" soundtrack garnered 84,000 equivalent album units, which represents a 12 percent decrease from the previous week.
