The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) rose eight-point-67 points, or zero-point-38 percent, on Thursday, closing the day at two-thousand-264-point-65.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ fell however, losing three-point-75 points, or zero-point-55 percent, to close the day at 679-point-92.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened two-point-three won against the dollar, ending the day at one-thousand-269-point-four won.
