The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index(KOSPI) gained 13-point-77 points, or zero-point-58 percent, on Monday, to close the day at two-thousand-399-point-86.

The tech-heavy KOSDAQ also rose by five-point-07 points, or zero-point-71 percent, to end the day at 716-point-89.

On the foreign exchange, the local currency strengthened six-point-zero won against the U.S. dollar, closing the day at one-thousand-235-point-three won.
