Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited growth, with several companies posting significant gains in their closing prices. Among the notable performers, Samsung Biologics and Krafton led the charge with substantial increases in their stock values.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics saw an increase of 5,000 to close at 1,017,000, while Krafton rose by 3,500 to reach 332,500. Other significant gainers included Shinsegae, which climbed 7,200 to close at 169,400, and CJ, which saw a rise of 3,800, ending the day at 165,500.
Additional companies reporting increases were SK hynix, which added 3,000 to reach 265,500, and SKCHEM, climbing 3,200 to close at 61,400. HanilCMT also experienced an upward movement, increasing by 680 to 19,580.
In contrast, some stocks faced declines. HYOSUNG HEAVY dropped 49,000 to 1,209,000, and SamsungF and MIns fell by 4,000 to settle at 453,000. Other declines included WooriFinancialGroup, which decreased by 400 to 24,350, and LS, which saw a drop of 300 to 175,200.
These movements reflect a dynamic day in the stock market as companies across various sectors reported varying performances.
