Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mixed performance with some companies experiencing significant gains while others faced notable losses. The closing prices of key stocks included in the KOSPI 200 index reflected varied market reactions.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several companies recorded gains in their stock prices, contributing positively to the index. Notably, LG Chem saw its stock price increase by 5,500, closing at 381,500, while KEPCO Engineering and Construction also witnessed a rise, closing at 100,100 with an increase of 5,000. SK Innovation's stock appreciated by 2,000, reaching a closing price of 114,600, and Daewoong Pharmaceutical's price rose by 3,200, ending at 183,400.
However, some companies saw their stock prices decline. Samsung Biologics experienced a significant drop of 39,000, closing at 1,641,000. Emart's stock price decreased by 700, ending at 82,300, and Hyundai Marine and Fire Insurance faced a decline of 150, closing at 30,250. Additionally, SK Biopharmaceuticals saw its stock price drop by 400, closing at 54,000.
Other notable performances included BNK Financial Group, which saw an increase of 200, closing at 15,710, and Hanwha Life, whose stock price rose by 20, ending at 3,085. Hyundai Department Store's stock increased by 300, closing at 94,200, and LG Corp. experienced a rise of 4,100, finishing at 85,600.
