Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index presented a varied performance at the close of trading on Tuesday on the main Korea Stock Exchange, with some stocks showing gains while others declined.
According to Yonhap News Agency, several major companies experienced a drop in their stock prices. Nongshim's shares fell by KRW 7,500 to close at KRW 392,500, while Shinsegae saw a decrease of KRW 10,000, ending at KRW 525,000. SGBC and Youngpoong also experienced declines, closing at KRW 58,200 and KRW 54,400, respectively.
Conversely, some stocks witnessed upward momentum. Samsung F and M Ins saw an increase of KRW 12,000, closing at KRW 581,000. SK hynix experienced a notable rise, increasing by KRW 111,000 to reach KRW 2,052,000. Hyundai Mtr also showed a significant gain, with its stock price increasing by KRW 34,000 to settle at KRW 689,000.
Other notable movements included Hanwha, which rose by KRW 7,700 to close at KRW 148,200, and SeAH Steel Holdings, which increased by KRW 8,600 to end at KRW 179,200. Meanwhile, HyundaiEng and Const's shares climbed by KRW 1,700, closing at KRW 152,000.
Among the stocks that faced declines, MiwonComcl fell by KRW 5,100 to close at KRW 121,900, and SamyangFood dropped by KRW 19,000, ending at KRW 1,296,000. Hyundai M and F INS also saw a decrease, with its stock price falling by KRW 1,550 to close at KRW 37,100.
Overall, the trading session reflected a mixed sentiment among investors, with some companies showing resilience while others experienced setbacks.
