Seoul: Friday's closing prices for KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange showed a mix of gains and losses, with significant upward movements observed in several major companies.
According to Yonhap News Agency, SK hynix led the day's positive momentum with a notable increase of 52,000 KRW, closing at 1,645,000 KRW. HyundaiMtr followed suit with a rise of 34,500 KRW, ending the day at 453,000 KRW. Another prominent gainer was Doosan, which saw an increase of 14,000 KRW, closing at 1,276,000 KRW.
In contrast, some stocks experienced declines. TaekwangInd recorded a decrease of 13,000 KRW, settling at 930,000 KRW, while POSCO INTERNATIONAL dropped by 1,000 KRW to close at 53,300 KRW. The stock of Youngpoong also diminished by 700 KRW, ending at 38,100 KRW.
Several other companies posted gains, including KIA CORP., which rose by 4,300 KRW to 141,700 KRW, and SamsungFandMIns, which increased by 4,000 KRW to close at 615,000 KRW. Notable advances were also seen in Asia Holdings, climbing by 8,900 KRW to 186,700 KRW, and SKCHEM, which gained 6,150 KRW to close at 50,000 KRW.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 displayed a mix of performances, with some companies benefiting from significant upward trends while others faced declines.
