Seoul:The KOSPI 200 index displayed notable fluctuations in stock prices, with several companies experiencing significant gains while others saw declines.
According to Yonhap News Agency, major companies such as HYUNDAIDEPTST and LG ELECTRONICS saw substantial increases in their stock prices, with HYUNDAIDEPTST rising by 3,700 to reach 75,800, and LG ELECTRONICS climbing up by 4,200 to a closing price of 161,700. Similarly, LGCHEM experienced a significant rise of 7,500, closing at 236,000, while HANWHA LIFE saw a modest increase of 65, reaching 4,115.
Other notable upward movements included KIH, which gained 8,500 to close at 154,000, and HYUNDAIGLOVIS, which rose by 6,600 to 187,000. In contrast, COSMAX experienced a decline, with its stock price dropping by 3,000 to 260,500, and Youngone Corp saw a decrease of 400, closing at 67,700.
Additional companies witnessing upward trends were NAVER and Kakao, with NAVER's stock price increasing by 3,700 to 178,000, and Kakao's rising by 300 to settle at 29,800. Meanwhile, SANIL ELECTRIC saw its stock price go up by 3,900, finishing at 164,100.
