KOSPI 200 Stocks See Significant Gains Across Major Companies

Seoul: Thursday's closing prices on the Korea Stock Exchange saw a range of movements among the KOSPI 200 stocks, with several prominent companies experiencing notable gains.

According to Yonhap News Agency, some of the key performers included Samsung Electronics, which saw an increase of 4,100 KRW, closing at 100,600 KRW. SKC also posted a significant rise, ending the day at 112,800 KRW, up by 2,700 KRW. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. and LS both recorded increases of 5,500 KRW, closing at 302,000 KRW and 196,500 KRW, respectively.

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries experienced one of the largest gains, rising by 9,000 KRW to close at 583,000 KRW. APR saw a substantial increase of 12,500 KRW, ending at 237,000 KRW. LG H and H also experienced a notable rise, closing at 296,500 KRW after an increase of 10,500 KRW.

Other companies such as Hanwha Ocean and Hyundai Rotem reported gains of 2,000 KRW and 3,200 KRW, respectively, while POSCO International increased by 1,700 KRW. On the other hand, KPIC and LGChem saw declines, with KPIC down by 400 KRW and LGChem by 2,000 KRW. NCsoft experienced a decrease of 4,700 KRW, closing at 187,000 KRW.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 showed a positive trend with several companies closing higher, indicating a strong performance across various sectors on the exchange.
