Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks experienced notable declines on Friday as the main Korea Stock Exchange saw several major companies closing with reduced prices. Notable among these was SK hynix, which registered a significant drop, closing at 2,070,000 KRW, down 228,000 KRW from the previous trading session.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other prominent companies also faced declines. Samsung C and T closed at 460,500 KRW, a decrease of 74,500 KRW, while LG Corp. saw its stock price drop by 7,000 KRW to close at 122,900 KRW. HyundaiEng and Const and Hanwha were among the other major companies experiencing declines, closing at 131,900 KRW and 125,300 KRW, respectively, with reductions of 4,700 KRW and 4,900 KRW.
Despite the overall downward trend, some companies reported gains. CJ closed at 183,800 KRW, up by 6,800 KRW, while ASIA HOLDINGS saw an increase of 5,200 KRW, closing at 172,300 KRW. Hanall Biopharma and LotteChilsung also recorded gains, closing at 57,900 KRW and 108,000 KRW, respectively.
The trading session highlighted mixed performances across various sectors, with companies like HyundaiMtr and LOTTE WELLFOOD maintaining their previous closing prices at 700,000 KRW and 108,600 KRW, respectively.
