KOSPI 200 Stocks See Predominantly Downward Trend Amid Market Shifts

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a predominantly downward trend in its closing prices, highlighting shifts in the stock market. Several key players experienced declines, with stocks such as HD Hyundai Electric and Krafton witnessing significant drops in their closing prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Electric saw its stock price fall by 57,000, closing at 818,000. Similarly, Krafton's shares decreased by 5,500, ending at 258,000. Other notable declines included HD Hyundai, which dropped by 9,000 to close at 207,500, and HS Hyosung Advanced, which fell by 6,500, closing at 194,000.

Despite the overall downward trend, a few companies experienced gains. Orion's stock rose by 1,900, reaching a closing price of 103,600. BGF Retail and SKCHEM also saw increases, gaining 1,300 and 800 respectively. Amorepacific emerged as a significant gainer, with an increase of 7,900, closing at 126,500.

The declines were widespread, affecting various sectors. Notable decreases included LGCHEM, which fell by 3,500, closing at 382,000, and Hyundai Rotem, which saw a substantial drop of 13,300, ending at 198,700. LGELECTRONICS also experienced a decline of 3,400, closing at 88,300.

In the financial sector, Woori Financial Group and Hana Financial Group saw their stocks decrease by 900 and 1,000, closing at 25,700 and 92,000 respectively. Shinhan Group also recorded a decline, with its stock price dropping by 1,800 to close at 77,400.

The market shifts were not uniform, as some companies managed to maintain stable prices. APR's stock remained unchanged, closing at 234,000. Despite the predominantly downward trend, certain stocks managed to rise, offering a mixed outlook on the current market conditions.
