KOSPI 200 Stocks See Mixed Results as HyundaiMtr and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries Experience Declines

Seoul: Tuesday's closing prices for KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange presented a mixed bag of results. Investors witnessed notable price movements across various sectors, with both gains and losses recorded.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HyundaiMtr experienced a significant decline, closing at 276,000 KRW, down by 15,500 KRW. HD Hyundai Heavy Industries also saw a sharp decrease, closing at 567,000 KRW, marking a drop of 40,000 KRW. Meanwhile, Hanwha and SamsungElec were among the companies that faced declines, with Hanwha dropping 4,200 KRW to 93,600 KRW and SamsungElec decreasing by 6,200 KRW to 104,900 KRW.

On the positive side, several companies reported gains. HanmiPharm saw a notable rise, closing at 451,500 KRW, up by 27,500 KRW. SAMSUNG SDI CO.,LTD. also experienced an increase, closing at 337,500 KRW with a gain of 10,500 KRW. Other companies like KBFinancialGroup and Meritz Financial posted increases, both up by 3,900 KRW, closing at 121,900 KRW and 113,300 KRW, respectively.

Additionally, CJ CheilJedang and LS recorded significant upticks, closing at 230,500 KRW and 222,500 KRW, with gains of 3,500 KRW and 5,000 KRW, respectively. Smaller gains were observed in companies such as AmorePacific, which closed up by 400 KRW at 120,600 KRW, and BNK Financial Group, which saw a 250 KRW increase to 14,430 KRW.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 stocks displayed varied performances, reflecting the dynamic nature of the market.
