Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected a blend of gains and losses on Monday, as stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange closed with varied outcomes. The list of KOSPI 200 stocks revealed a combination of upward and downward shifts in closing prices, indicating a day of mixed trading activities.
According to Yonhap News Agency, GS saw an increase of 400 KRW, closing at 83,200 KRW, while MiwonComcl experienced a decline of 900 KRW, ending at 123,000 KRW. Notable declines were observed in companies such as DOOSAN and SK hynix, with DOOSAN dropping by 83,000 KRW to 1,119,000 KRW and SK hynix decreasing by 78,000 KRW to a closing price of 1,764,000 KRW.
ASIA HOLDINGS and OCI Holdings were among the few stocks that showed significant gains, with ASIA HOLDINGS rising by 4,400 KRW to 188,700 KRW and OCI Holdings increasing by 5,400 KRW to close at 199,700 KRW. Conversely, KIA CORP. and HyundaiEngandConst faced substantial drops, with KIA CORP. falling by 9,700 KRW to 140,000 KRW and HyundaiEngandConst decreasing by 8,000 KRW to a closing of 91,000 KRW.
Further losses were recorded for companies such as SamsungElecMech, which declined by 2,000 KRW, closing at 1,275,000 KRW, and TaekwangInd, which saw a significant decrease of 45,000 KRW, ending at 821,000 KRW. Meanwhile, smaller gains were noted for KUMHOTIRE, which increased by 250 KRW to 6,100 KRW.
