Seoul: Thursday witnessed varied movements in the closing prices of KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange. Notable shifts were observed in several major stocks, reflecting a day of active trading.
According to Yonhap News Agency, KAL's stock climbed by 350 KRW, closing at 29,400 KRW. KCC saw a decline of 4,500 KRW, closing at 461,500 KRW, while SKBP rose by 1,000 KRW to reach 79,200 KRW. AMOREPACIFIC Holdings saw a 400 KRW increase, closing at 26,700 KRW. HyundaiMtr also experienced an increase, ending the day at 363,000 KRW after a rise of 1,000 KRW.
MiwonComcl and CJ CheilJedang both saw declines, with MiwonComcl down by 500 KRW to 133,900 KRW and CJ CheilJedang dipping by 300 KRW to 176,400 KRW. TaekwangInd experienced a significant rise of 7,000 KRW, closing at 915,000 KRW. ASIA HOLDINGS also gained, increasing by 3,000 KRW to 215,500 KRW.
SamyangFood and POSCO INTERNATIONAL posted gains, with SamyangFood up by 27,000 KRW, closing at 1,288,000 KRW, and POSCO INTERNATIONAL up by 3,000 KRW to 57,800 KRW. In contrast, POSCO FUTURE M dropped by 6,000 KRW to 182,200 KRW, and HYUNDAI STEEL fell by 500 KRW to 34,100 KRW.
Other notable movements included HANWHA SYSTEMS, which rose by 8,700 KRW to 77,500 KRW, and Shinsegae, which fell by 8,500 KRW to 353,500 KRW. DB INSURANCE saw a rise of 5,800 KRW, closing at 192,800 KRW. Meanwhile, SamsungElec experienced a decrease of 1,000 KRW, closing at 252,500 KRW.
