KOSPI 200 Stocks See Mixed Closures Across Key Sectors

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange experienced a mixture of gains and losses as the market closed on Thursday. Several companies showed notable movements in their stock prices, reflecting varied investor sentiment across different sectors.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanchem saw an increase of 1,500 KRW, closing at 226,500 KRW, while S-1's shares rose by 500 KRW to 74,600 KRW. KEPCO also witnessed a significant rise, with its shares climbing 1,600 KRW to end at 49,250 KRW. DWS experienced a modest gain of 100 KRW, closing at 28,150 KRW. Meanwhile, GS remained unchanged at 60,600 KRW.

Misto Holdings and LIG Nex1 recorded gains, ending the day at 41,150 KRW and 408,500 KRW respectively. KUMHOTIRE's shares fell by 80 KRW, settling at 5,430 KRW, and SAMSUNG SDS decreased by 2,700 KRW, closing at 172,600 KRW. KOREA AEROSPACE also saw a decline, falling 600 KRW to 103,200 KRW.

KPIC faced a notable drop, decreasing by 4,200 KRW to 154,500 KRW, and OTOKI rose by 500 KRW, closing at 390,000 KRW. DN AUTOMOTIVE's shares fell by 750 KRW, ending at 23,550 KRW, while SKC declined by 1,000 KRW to 122,000 KRW.

Other significant movements included KCC, which fell by 10,000 KRW to 420,000 KRW, and HDKSOE, which saw a rise of 13,000 KRW, closing at 439,000 KRW. SamsungF and MIns faced a drop of 22,000 KRW, ending at 500,000 KRW, and DOOSAN decreased by 29,000 KRW to 987,000 KRW.

Gains were seen in companies like YoungoneHoldings, which increased by 6,300 KRW to 157,600 KRW, and Yuhan, rising by 1,400 KRW to 121,200 KRW. HyundaiMtr also saw an increase, closing at 278,500 KRW after a 3,000 KRW rise. Conversely, AMOREPACIFIC Holdings dropped by 100 KRW, settling at 27,600 KRW.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 displayed a fluctuating market environment, with both advances and declines across various sectors, indicating the dynamic nature of the stock exchange on this trading day.
