KOSPI 200 Stocks Experience Mixed Movements as Hanwha Ocean and Others See Gains

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited varied movements in stock prices, with several companies experiencing declines while a few saw gains. Notable among the gainers were Hanwha Ocean, KIWOOM, and HANMISemi, with increases in their stock prices, while companies such as LGCHEM, HYBE, and HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED faced downturns.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanwha Ocean saw a positive shift in its stock price, increasing by 4,400 to close at 130,500. KIWOOM also experienced an upward trend, with a rise of 6,500, closing at 459,000. HANMISemi witnessed a notable gain of 10,000, bringing its stock price to 400,000. These increases provide a contrast to the overall downward trend observed in the majority of stocks.

On the other hand, LGCHEM's stock price dropped by 6,000, closing at 423,500. HYBE experienced a decrease of 6,000, resulting in a closing price of 241,500. HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED faced a significant decline, with its stock price down by 12,500, closing at 245,000. These declines highlight the challenges faced by several companies within the KOSPI 200 index.

Other companies such as DWEC, LG H and H, and POSCO INTERNATIONAL also saw decreases in their stock prices, with DWEC down by 750, LG H and H by 7,000, and POSCO INTERNATIONAL by 2,700. CJ CheilJedang, SamyangFood, and ShinhanGroup similarly experienced declines of 3,500, 41,000, and 800 respectively.

Conversely, LOTTE SHOPPING showed an increase of 6,900, closing at 145,000. HYUNDAI STEEL also saw gains with a rise of 750, bringing its stock price to 43,650. These positive movements provide a glimmer of optimism amidst the broader declines observed in the market.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixed set of results, with certain stocks achieving gains while many others faced declines. The varied performance of these companies underscores the fluctuating nature of the stock market.
