Seoul: KOSPI 200 stocks on the Korea Stock Exchange witnessed widespread declines on Monday, with numerous companies experiencing significant drops in their closing prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanssem closed at KRW 41,900, down by KRW 1,150, while F and F dropped by KRW 1,900 to settle at KRW 60,800. Hanmi Science and HtlShilla saw their prices fall to KRW 35,800 and KRW 41,700, respectively, with the former losing KRW 2,650 and the latter KRW 2,800.
HANALL BIOPHARMA's closing price was KRW 52,300, marking a decrease of KRW 4,200. Insurance giant SamsungF and MIns fell by KRW 19,000 to close at KRW 455,500. Kogas ended the day at KRW 35,500, down KRW 2,200. Among other declines, HDKSOE and SamsungElecMech saw their stocks drop by KRW 38,500 and KRW 37,000, closing at KRW 366,000 and KRW 427,500, respectively.
LS ELECTRIC reported a substantial decrease of KRW 63,000, closing at KRW 823,000. S-Oil's price decreased by KRW 5,800 to KRW 106,000, while KOREA ZINC closed at KRW 1,486,000, down KRW 101,000. Meanwhile, OCI Holdings ended at KRW 192,200, a fall of KRW 10,800.
LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp's shares decreased by KRW 2,900 to KRW 81,300. SamsungHvyInd and HMM also faced declines, closing at KRW 26,000 and KRW 19,810, respectively. HYUNDAI WIA's shares fell by KRW 5,100 to KRW 79,800.
LG Innotek closed at KRW 290,000, down by KRW 6,000. YoungoneHoldings and SeAH Steel Holdings saw declines of KRW 11,000 and KRW 12,700, respectively. TaekwangInd's substantial drop of KRW 113,000 brought its closing price to KRW 1,176,000.
Daewoong's shares fell by KRW 1,550 to KRW 23,050, while LG Corp. saw a decrease of KRW 8,700, closing at KRW 86,800. KAL's price decreased by KRW 2,050 to KRW 24,300. POSCO FUTURE M and SamyangFood also faced declines, closing at KRW 186,400 and KRW 1,137,000, respectively.
POSCO INTERNATIONAL ended at KRW 76,900, down by KRW 100. CJ CheilJedang experienced a decrease of KRW 5,000, closing at KRW 207,000. HyundaiMtr's shares fell by KRW 32,000 to KRW 485,000.
AMOREPACIFIC Holdings closed at KRW 27,300, a decrease of KRW 900, while COSMOCHEM's shares fell by KRW 990 to KRW 13,630. LotteChilsung and POSCO Holdings also saw declines, closing at KRW 116,400 and KRW 325,000, respectively.
GCH Corp's shares decreased by KRW 450, closing at KRW 13,530. LOTTE saw a drop of KRW 2,100, ending at KRW 30,300. GC Corp's shares fell by KRW 4,100 to KRW 142,800, and SamsungElec's price decreased by KRW 13,100, closing at KRW 186,300.
LS and HD HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES faced significant declines, closing at KRW 273,500 and KRW 502,000, down by KRW 30,000 and KRW 57,000, respectively. However, GS E and C was an exception, experiencing a slight increase of KRW 50, closing at KRW 31,850.
