KOSPI 200 Stock Movement: Samsung Biologics and Doosan Lead Decline

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed significant fluctuations as several major stocks closed in the red, leading to a notable downturn in the market. Samsung Biologics and Doosan were among the top decliners, contributing to the downward momentum.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Samsung Biologics saw a substantial drop, closing at 1,873,000 won, a decrease of 47,000 won. Doosan also experienced a significant loss, with its stock price falling by 33,000 won to close at 825,000 won. Other notable decliners included HD Hyundai, which fell by 5,000 won to 254,500 won, and KRAFTON, which decreased by 7,500 won to 231,500 won.

The report also highlighted that KOLON IND and APR were among the few gainers, with KOLON IND rising by 400 won to 44,100 won, and APR increasing by 9,500 won to 256,500 won. Meanwhile, GKL and HANJINKAL saw declines, closing at 13,000 won and 127,500 won, respectively.

Additional stocks that ended the trading session on a lower note included HYBE, which dropped by 9,000 won to 361,000 won, and HD Hyundai Electric, which decreased by 21,000 won to 894,000 won. Conversely, HS HYOSUNG ADVANCED and SKSQUARE bucked the trend, closing up by 8,500 won and 3,000 won, respectively.

The mixed performance across the KOSPI 200 reflects the varied investor sentiment amid ongoing market volatility. The index's movement underscores the challenges faced by companies in navigating the current economic landscape.
