Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index reflected varied stock movements as several companies experienced notable gains and losses. Among the companies with increased stock prices, Kia Corp. saw a rise of 4,700 to reach 117,000, and SeAH Steel Holdings increased by 3,600, closing at 142,400.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other significant gainers included TaekwangInd, which saw an increase of 8,000 to close at 812,000, and Hyosung Heavy, which observed the most significant rise of 55,000, bringing its price to 1,861,000. F and F also performed well, with its stock price increasing by 3,100 to 74,400. In addition, Coway's stock rose by 2,700, reaching 88,900.
Conversely, some companies experienced declines. SamyangFood saw a decrease of 14,000, bringing its price down to 1,332,000, and Samsung C and T fell by 2,000 to 224,500. POSCO Future M and CJ CheilJedang both decreased by 1,500, closing at 207,500 and 209,000, respectively.
Other notable movements included LG Energy Solution and SamsungElecMech, each increasing by 2,000, with closing prices of 415,000 and 252,000, respectively. LotteChilsung and LOTTE Fine Chem also showed positive changes, with increases of 1,600 and 1,550, respectively.
