Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a day of varied movements as several major companies experienced changes in their stock prices. Notable among them were HD Hyundai Electric and NCsoft, which saw significant upticks in their closing prices.
According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai Electric's stock rose by 40,000, closing at 820,000, marking a strong performance for the day. Similarly, NCsoft saw a substantial increase of 9,500, ending the trading session at 213,000. These movements contributed positively to the overall KOSPI 200 index.
Other notable gainers included KIWOOM with a rise of 22,500 to close at 294,500, and Hanwha Ocean, which increased by 4,500 to reach 139,700. NAVER and LGChem also posted gains of 4,000 and 3,000, closing at 251,000 and 404,000, respectively.
Meanwhile, some companies experienced declines. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. dropped by 8,000, closing at 285,000, while SamyangFood saw a decrease of 22,000, ending at 1,260,000. POSCO International and MiwonComcl also faced declines, with their stocks going down by 800 and 900, respectively.
Overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a mixed trading day, with both significant gains and losses among its listed companies.
