Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index exhibited mixed results today as several major companies experienced significant shifts in their stock prices. Samsung Electronics saw a decline, with its shares closing at 201,000, down by 5,000. Similarly, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries witnessed a notable drop, closing at 463,000, down by 12,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies also faced declines, including NHIS, which closed at 33,850, down by 200, and DB Insurance, whose shares fell to 167,200, a decrease of 2,100. Meanwhile, Amorepacific's stock ended at 130,600, down by 1,300, and LG Energy Solution saw a reduction of 10,500, closing at 401,500.
On the positive side, several companies recorded gains. Hyosung TNC experienced an increase, closing at 502,000, up by 38,000. Hyosung Heavy saw a substantial rise, ending at 3,058,000, a gain of 118,000. Additionally, ISUPETASYS and Krafton both posted increases, closing at 119,700, up by 4,800, and 241,500, up by 4,000, respectively.
The fluctuations in the KOSPI 200 index reflect a day of varied performances across different sectors, illustrating the dynamic nature of the stock market.
