Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a notable performance with several companies witnessing significant gains. Leading the charge was HYBE, which saw its stock price rise by 11,500 to close at 304,500. HanmiPharm also experienced a substantial increase, with its stock price climbing by 30,000 to reach 541,000.
According to Yonhap News Agency, other companies that contributed to the positive trend included KIWOOM, which rose by 32,000 to end at 432,000, and Doosan Enerbility, which increased by 2,500 to close at 102,600. KakaoBank and SKBS also reported gains, with their stock prices rising by 750 and 650 respectively.
However, not all companies experienced upward movement. KTandG saw a decline of 1,700, closing at 155,900, while Paradise fell by 940 to end at 16,970. Misto Holdings also recorded a minor drop, decreasing by 50 to 42,200.
The KOSPI 200's overall performance was buoyed by various sectors, with notable contributions from technology and financial groups. Samsung Life and NAVER reported increases of 5,500 and 2,000 respectively, while financial entities like KB Financial Group and Meritz Financial also saw gains, closing at 149,400 and 111,400.
Despite some declines, the KOSPI 200's upward trajectory highlights the market's resilience and the potential for continued growth within key sectors.
