Seoul: The KOSPI 200 stocks on the main Korea Stock Exchange experienced notable fluctuations in their closing prices on Monday. Among the major movers, Mobis and Hyosung Heavy stood out with significant increases, while SK hynix faced a substantial decline.
According to Yonhap News Agency, Mobis closed at 493,500 KRW, marking an increase of 17,500 KRW. Hyosung Heavy also experienced a significant rise, closing at 2,495,000 KRW, up by 78,000 KRW. On the downside, SK hynix saw its shares drop by 151,000 KRW, ending the day at 1,567,000 KRW. Other notable changes included Samsung Electronics Mechanical's increase of 39,000 KRW to 1,181,000 KRW and Doosan's rise by 68,000 KRW to 1,238,000 KRW.
Meanwhile, several companies experienced declines. Samsung F and M Insurance dropped by 16,000 KRW, closing at 616,000 KRW, and LG Energy Solution fell by 12,000 KRW, concluding the day at 316,000 KRW. The market also saw smaller movements, with Kumho Petrochem decreasing by 1,400 KRW to 113,000 KRW and CJ Logistics dropping by 600 KRW to 73,900 KRW. Overall, the KOSPI 200 reflected a day of mixed results, with significant gains and losses across various sectors.
