KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Movement with Notable Gains in Hanwha Aerospace and Losses in KorZinc

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index closed with varied performances among its constituents, highlighting significant movements in several companies. Hanwha Aerospace led the gainers' list with a substantial increase, while KorZinc experienced the largest decline among the listed stocks.

According to Yonhap News Agency, Hanwha Aerospace's shares surged by 72,000, closing at 890,000. This marked the most substantial gain on the index, indicating strong investor interest. Other notable gainers included HYOSUNG HEAVY and LS ELECTRIC, which saw their shares rise by 9,000 and 5,000, respectively. LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp also recorded a significant increase of 5,900.

On the downside, KorZinc reported the largest drop in its share price, falling by 12,000 to close at 771,000. This decline was followed by HANALL BIOPHARMA and Hanchem, which saw their share prices decrease by 1,550 and 2,800, respectively. Samsung SDI CO., LTD. and SKC also reported declines in their stock prices, with decreases of 1,400 and 1,300.

Other companies that experienced gains include YoungoneHoldings, KumhoPetrochem, and HDKSOE, which saw their shares increase by 1,700, 7,400, and 2,500, respectively. Meanwhile, companies such as GC Corp, F and F, and LG Innotek saw their shares decline by 6,300, 1,500, and 1,000, respectively.

Overall, the KOSPI 200 showcased a mixed performance with significant gains and losses across various sectors, reflecting diverse investor sentiments and market dynamics.
