KOSPI 200 Sees Significant Gains Amid Market Movements

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index has shown significant fluctuations in the closing prices, with a notable number of companies experiencing substantial gains. The recent performance of the index highlights the dynamic nature of the market, as several key players have reported increased stock prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HMM saw an increase of 500, closing at 20,650, while Hyundai WIA experienced a rise of 4,200, settling at 79,800. Mobis also reported a gain, closing at 407,000, up by 17,000. On the other hand, Hanwha Aerospace faced a downturn, with its stock decreasing by 53,000 to close at 1,484,000.

Samsung Securities reported a significant increase, with its stock price rising by 9,200 to reach 104,400. Other notable performances include Hankuk Carbon, which saw a rise of 1,300 to close at 44,000, and SK Telecom, whose stock increased by 7,400, reaching 89,000. HANJIN KAL also experienced a rise, closing at 114,700, up by 7,500.

Several companies, including Hanon Systems and SK, reported gains, with their stocks closing at 3,950 and 342,000, respectively. Coway and Lotte Shopping also saw increases, closing at 78,200 and 107,200, respectively. POSCO DX and DONGSUH reported gains as well, with their stock prices closing at 32,550 and 27,550, respectively.

Financial institutions such as IBK and LG Uplus experienced positive movements, closing at 22,000 and 16,130, respectively. Samsung Life and KT reported increases, with their stocks closing at 238,500 and 61,000, respectively. Samsung Card and Samsung C and T also saw gains, closing at 53,600 and 309,000, respectively.

The technology and manufacturing sectors reflected positive trends, with LG Display and Youngone Holdings closing at 12,110 and 215,500, respectively. Doosan Enerbility and Samsung E and A reported increased stock prices, closing at 101,200 and 50,500, respectively.

However, Hyundai Rotem experienced a decrease, with its stock closing at 206,500, down by 4,500. Meanwhile, other companies such as TKG Huchems, JB Financial Group, and Woori Financial Group reported gains, closing at 17,600, 30,550, and 33,400, respectively.

LGChem and LG H and H saw significant increases, with their stocks closing at 344,500 and 247,000, respectively. SK Square reported a substantial gain, closing at 578,000, up by 79,000. KEPCO KPS and Sanil Electric experienced positive movements, closing at 57,700 and 147,000, respectively.

In the pharmaceutical sector, Daewoong Pharm saw a minor increase, closing at 149,800, while LG Electronics closed at 116,700, up by 9,600. Shinhan Group also reported an increase, with its stock price closing at 96,700.
