Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a noticeable downturn, with numerous major companies witnessing a decline in their closing prices. Key players such as WooriFinancialGroup, LG CNS, and SKBP reported decreases of 1,500, 3,300, and 4,800 respectively. Other significant declines included KCC, which saw a drop of 44,500, and DOOSAN, which fell by 70,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, only a few companies showed positive movement. HITEJINRO and LOTTE Fine Chem reported minor gains of 190 and 2,550 respectively. Meanwhile, companies like HYUNDAIGLOVIS, HYUNDAI WIA, and YoungoneHoldings faced substantial declines, with their prices falling by 17,000, 8,800, and 9,500 respectively.

Furthermore, KOREA ZINC and TaekwangInd recorded significant losses, with declines of 156,000 and 56,000 respectively. The technology sector also faced setbacks, with LGELECTRONICS and LG Innotek closing down by 4,600 and 19,500 respectively. Overall, the market trend indicated a challenging day for many companies listed on the KOSPI 200.
