KOSPI 200 Sees Predominant Gains Amid Select Declines

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index showcased a predominantly positive movement with several companies witnessing significant upticks in their share prices. Notable among these was HD Hyundai Electric, which saw an increase of 26,000 in its share price, closing at 931,000. Similarly, SK Square recorded a substantial rise, closing at 587,000, up by 25,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, HD Hyundai also experienced a noteworthy gain, with its shares closing at 268,500, marking an increase of 5,500. Meanwhile, APR saw its shares climb by 20,500 to close at 349,000. Samsung Biologics continued its upward trend, ending the day at 1,587,000, an increase of 19,000.

The financial sector also observed gains, with KB Financial Group's shares rising by 1,400 to close at 150,700, and BNK Financial Group advancing by 340 to end at 18,480. Emart and Kolmar Korea also saw their shares increase, closing at 95,200 and 70,200, respectively.

In contrast, not all companies shared in the day's gains. Krafton saw a decline of 2,000, closing at 232,500, and Hanwha Systems experienced a decrease of 1,100, ending at 138,900. BGF Retail also faced a downturn, with its shares closing at 121,700, down by 2,800.

Other notable performances included HYBE, which rose by 15,000 to close at 365,000, and Hyundai Autoever, which increased by 2,500 to end at 422,500. The day concluded with a mixed bag of results, but overall, the KOSPI 200 index reflected a positive sentiment in the market.
