KOSPI 200 Sees Mixed Results with Notable Gains and Losses in Key Stocks

Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index experienced a day of mixed outcomes as several major companies saw fluctuations in their stock prices. Among the top gainers, Samsung Electronics surged by 17,000 to close at 285,500, while HD Hyundai Heavy Industries recorded a notable increase of 27,000, finishing at 685,000. Meanwhile, Mobis led the gains with a significant rise of 44,000, ending at 553,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, not all companies shared in the positive trend. Key firms such as Kolon Industries and GC Biopharma Corp. faced declines, with their stock prices dropping by 3,700 and 3,900, respectively. Other companies like LG Energy Solution and Samsung Electronics Mech also registered losses, with their stocks decreasing by 8,500 and 14,000, respectively.

Despite some companies experiencing losses, several others enjoyed upward movement. Samsung SDI Co., Ltd. saw an increase of 6,000, closing at 684,000, and Coway's stock went up by 5,200, reaching a closing price of 92,800. HDKSOE and Hanwha Aerospace also reported gains, with their stocks rising by 22,000 and 8,000, respectively.

Conversely, numerous companies faced downward pressure on their stock prices. DB Insurance and KPIC experienced declines of 2,400 and 2,300, respectively. Additionally, companies such as Asia Holdings and Lotte Wellfood saw their stock values drop by 7,000 and 6,000, respectively, contributing to the mixed performance within the KOSPI 200 index.
