Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index displayed a mix of gains and losses as it closed with varied performances among its constituents. Notably, SK Innovation saw an increase of 1,000, closing at 122,100, while POONGSAN rose by 1,400 to reach 56,400. On the other hand, Samsung Biologics experienced a significant decline, dropping 30,000 to close at 1,130,000.

According to Yonhap News Agency, other prominent movements included HanmiPharm, which surged by 6,000 to a closing price of 263,500, and SKCHEM, which increased by 2,050 to finish at 43,000. Meanwhile, KB Financial Group saw a decrease of 1,100, ending the trading day at 84,900.

Meritz Financial and BNK Financial Group also reported declines, with Meritz Financial down by 200 to close at 110,100, and BNK Financial Group down by 110 to settle at 11,550. In contrast, Woori Financial Group rose by 920, closing at 16,310, and Netmarble increased by 950 to reach 45,450.

Other notable changes included HD Hyundai Electric, which fell by 12,500 to a closing price of 378,500, and BGF Retail, which declined by 3,800 to end at 99,500. Meanwhile, Orion saw a rise of 1,300, closing at 104,500, and PIAM increased by 1,430 to finish at 20,900.

The trading session reflected a diverse range of performances across various sectors, with several companies experiencing gains while others faced declines.
