Seoul: The KOSPI 200 index witnessed a varied performance with notable gains and losses among its constituents. S-Oil, LG Innotek, and LOTTE CHEMICAL Corp were among the top performers, closing at 61,800, 150,300, and 61,400 respectively, each showing a significant increase in their stock prices.

According to Yonhap News Agency, prominent gains were recorded by Lotte Shopping, which saw an increase of 3,300 to close at 77,500, and LG Chem, which surged by 17,500 to finish at 229,000. Samsung C and T also saw a substantial rise, closing at 165,400, up by 4,000. LOTTE WELLFOOD followed suit with an increase of 4,000, closing at 119,500.

In contrast, some companies experienced declines. HANWHA AEROSPACE and Hanchem saw reductions in their stock prices, closing at 839,000 and 167,000, down by 9,000 and 4,700 respectively. KEPCO and SamsungSecu also faced declines, closing at 37,950 and 73,400.

Meanwhile, KOREA AEROSPACE remained unchanged at 89,800. Among other entities, KumhoPetrochem, Hyundai Elevator, and KT showed positive trends, while Doosan Enerbility and NCsoft experienced downturns. Despite fluctuations, the market demonstrated resilience with several companies achieving notable gains.
